Richard Pickford T/A Mountain Fever is a specialist independent outdoor shop, providing equipment and advice to all who share a passion for Climbing, Walking, Camping, Mountaineering, Skiing and Snowboarding.
All our staff enjoy their relative sports and are on hand to offer the best advice that they can based on years of fun whilst climbing, mountaineering, hiking, camping, skiing and snowboarding themselves. Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received your order.
Once we have checked the price and availability of the goods, we will e-mail you again to confirm that we accept your order, and that a contract has been made between us. We will not take payment from you untill we have accepted the order.
In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this. You will not receive an e-mail confirming your order, and there will be no contract between us.

We accept Visa and Mastercard and Switch. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, via our payment page or by Paypal.

PRIORITY DELIVERY - 1-3 working days. Brought to front of queue and sent first class
NEXT DAY - sent by either royal mail special delivery or anc/fedex carrier

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

ANY ORDERS OVER THE SIZE OF A SMALL PACKET REQUIRE US TO GET BACK TO YOU WITH A POSTAGE QUOTE. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVIEIENCE.

ROYAL MAIL AIRMAIL - delivery normally 3 - 5 working days
AIRSURE - delivery normally 2-4 days - Airsure parcels receive priority handling in the uk and abroad.

PLEASE NOTE: If the parcel is going by carrier Make sure you give us an address where the parcel can be signed for. If the parcel has to be taken back to the depot and you arrange a redelivery or the parcel is sent back to us we will have to charge you £15 that the carrier charges us. If you then want the parcel sending out again from us you will be charged the initial postage again.

Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. Backordered items are not charged until they are sent.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is included in the price.
Credit Card Security All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
To combat fraud we regret that it has been necessary to introduce the following measures:
1) The first address that you give must be the address that your payment card is registered to. You can still opt to have the goods delivered to a different address.
2) The telephone number you give must be a land-line, not a mobile number. You are welcome to give us a mobile number as well.

Returns Policy CANCELATION AND RETURNS

You can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days after delivery. To do this, please e-mail us or write to us.
You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.

If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. You are responsible for the risk of loss or damage when you return goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value.

If you fail to return the goods,we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.

This cancelation policy does not affect your legal rights - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
